Double Ground Hardwood Mulch: Hardwood is a mixture of oak and poplar woods and bark. This shredded mulch is offered in two varieties, single grounded or double ground- this refer to the process that shreds the material. The single ground has a larger consistency and has been run through the grinder only once. The double ground variety is a finer consistency and has been run through grinder twice to create smaller particle size.
